Balancing - Balancing is vital to turbocharger rebuilding as it provides a necessary stability factor at high speeds. The high levels of RPM ranges, which may go in excess of 150,000 RPMS, require state of the art balancing techniques that we provide through our TC-3 Heins balancing machine. Each rotating component of the turbo is balanced separately and then once assembled balanced as a whole to provide safety, reliability and high performance. We balance all our turbochargers to at or beyond factory tolerance specifications to improve longevity and faster spool up times.
Full VSR Balancing
Here at Tim's Turbos, We have the highest level of balancing. Our process meets and exceeds the OEM and Performance market. After we have competed a Shaft striating and 6 step individual component balance we move onto the Core set-up.
This is the posses that surpasses most turbocharger rebuilding shops. The center cartridge is places in our VSR balancer. Supplied with fresh oil, the rotor group is tested to ranges that exceed 150,000RPM's. This will should any Mass imbalance of the core. Also test for any strange harmonic and oil leaks. If the turbocharger does not pass the test with in 4 corrections, The turbo is disassembled for wear inspection. Then it will go through the process again.
