There are three levels we clip the turbine wheels. We start with 5 degrees all the way up to 15 degrees. We will clip higher but, only if the customer specifically request it.
Getting the turbine wheel clipped will increase the midrange and top end power of the car. This will also greatly reduce backpressure upstream of the turbocharger. It will greatly increase the exhaust flow threw the turbine blades.
We highly recommend this when up-grading to larger compressor wheels. Also when rebuilding small turbos in twin system.
We have noticed best results on the following cars, 3000GT, Stealth, 300ZX, Eclipse, Conquest, Starion, Talon, Typhoon and Syclone. Just to list a few.
