We Rebuild most standard Turbochargers Between $350-$375. VNT and VGT turbos usually start out at $450 and up. A Cartridge rebuild will be a little cheaper. Shipping is not included. There will be a FREE full estimate before the rebuild begins. This will meet your approval before any work is done. The TurboCharger will be like New or better when it is returned to you.
Here is the procedure that we go through when rebuilding your turbocharger.
First we identify the turbocharger and vehicle. Then etch out the rotation and tear it down to each individual part of the turbocharger.
After the tear down we distinguish the factors that may have caused that turbocharger to fail. We do not want you to have another turbocharger failure.
All of the reusable parts are measured for any signs of wear.
The major casting parts are glass bead then tumbled and de-burred. The sharp edges are broken down. You will thank us later if you are under the hood as much as we are.(Much less cut Knuckles).
The oil gales are cleared out and hot tanked. After cleaning and inspection the parts are Ultrasonically cleaned.
The rebuild will include all the following, Bearings, Thrust Bearings, Seals, O-rings, Piston rings, Thrust parts, Nuts, Bolts, Etc. It does not cover the replacement of worn Turbine wheels, Housings, and Compressor wheels. If any of these listed parts are needed to complete the rebuild, they will be added to the rebuild price.
Assembly will be blue printed. Each part or the rotor group (Compressor/turbine wheel) will be straiten and balanced Using Competition Balancing on the HEINS TC3 machine. We balance beyond factory specs.
We will let you know if there are any up grades available for your turbocharger. Example, Compressor wheels, Turbine wheel clipping, Wastegate porting, thrust bearings, etc.
